OSCE observers interested in electoral process in southern Moldovan autonomy

Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - Bashkan (governor) of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (Gagauz Yeri) Mihail Formuzal today met Thomas Holzer and Roger Bryant, accredited by the the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Office as observers to monitor the parliamentary elections on 30 November, the autonomy's press service has reported.

OSCE representatives said they were interested to get acquainted with the people involved in the electoral process. "Given the latest news, we want to meet with you," said Thomas Holzer.

For his part, the bashkan welcomed the arrival of the OSCE observers in the Gagauz autonomy and noted that the administration would take all necessary measures to ensure the stability of the electoral process in the region.
