Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today had a meeting with the deputy president of the Bozlu Holding stock company, president of Healthcare Group Ismail Dernek. At the meeting, the Turkish investor voiced intention to open a modern oncology centre, which is to provide patients with quality medical services, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

The prime minister said the government backed the implementation of this idea, and the cabinet had already approved a string of legislative amendments which cancel the monopoly on providing treatment services in this sector. The draft is in parliament and is to be voted in the final reading. “We need qualitative services in oncology, as well as increase in the number of institutions rendering such services. Patients should have access to quality medical services,” Pavel Filip said.

For his part, the deputy president of the Bozlu Holding stock company said that the company was willing to make a long-term investment in providing services of diagnosis and treatment of oncology diseases. At the same time, the Turkish investor noted that, at present, most patients from Moldova were going to Turkey and other countries to benefit from treatment, which creates additional costs. Thus, the extension of high-quality in this field will considerably facilitate Moldovan citizens’ access to qualitative medical services.

In the context, Pavel Filip stressed that the government was busy with implementing reforms on the creation of safe working conditions for investors and referred to measures undertaken by the government to this end.

Bozlu Holding stock company has been working on the medical market for more than 25 years and includes companies in such countries as: the United States, Turkey, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Poland and Romania.
