Seventy two families from north Moldova district provided with social dwellings

Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today participated in a ceremony on handing the keys to 72 social dwellings constructed in the northern Soroca city for families with many children, young specialists employed at state institutions and disabled people, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

The prime minister congratulated the project’s beneficiaries and wished them to enjoy their living in the new dwellings. “The greatest wealth of ours represents the people and we must invest, in order to provide them with good living conditions. During 2017, we will make even more social investments, we will come up with new reforms oriented to citizens,” Pavel Filip said.  

At the same time, the PM said that one of the government’s priorities was to back young specialists and creating needed conditions for them to remain in Moldova. In the context, Pavel Filip informed that a project is to soon be launched, due to help young families buy the first dwelling.     

The 72 social flats were built with the support of the Council of Europe  Development Bank. The overall cost of the project was about 2.2 million euros, of which 35 per cent represents the contribution of the Soroca district council. The flats are endowed with needed equipment and prepared for the beneficiary families to move there for living.
