Romania to provide 3 million euros for modernizing 83 kindergartens in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved in its meeting today, the list of kindergartens which will benefit from financial support from Romanian Government for renovating infrastructure and ensuring optimal operating conditions. Totally 83 kindergartens will be upgraded, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

In this regard, Government of Romania will provide €3 million as financial aid, and Government of Moldova will come up with an additional contribution of four per cent of the amount.

These financial resources will be used to modernize the heating systems in kindergartens, changing the windows and roofs of blocks of study, procurement of new furniture and equipment and for setting the playgrounds for children. Similarly, two new kindergartens will be opened in localities Singera and Bacioi in Chisinau.

"Relations with neighbours are very important, both with Romania, as well as with Ukraine. When we are at a difficulty, neighbours help us, similar as proved Romania last year, for which we thank them," said in context Pavel Filip.

It was allocated €23 million for repair and to remodeling of 832 kindergartens in all districts of Moldova in 2014 – 2016.
