Chisinau, 7 March /MOLDPRES/ - The prices for the most demanded Premium-95 petrol will drop by 0.38 lei per one litre starting from 8 March and the diesel will cheapen by 0.03 lei. The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today set the ceiling selling prices for Premium-95 petrol at 17.83 lei and for diesel at 15.62 lei for 8-21 March.
It is for the first time that the petrol cheapens, after the prices had increased for seven periods in a row and reached 18.21 lei for one litre.
The new prices for petrol will enter into force at midnight, when operators will have no right to sell fuels by retail at higher prices than the ones established by ANRE. The prices posted on ANRE’s webpage today will be valid for 14 calendar days.
ANRE has been applying the procedure of setting the ceiling selling prices for fuels beginning with last May, when prices of 16.21 lei for one litre of Premium-95 petrol and 13.83 lei for one litre of diesel were established.
The BRENT oil prices have been maintained at 55-56 dollars for one barrel for two months already. After a drop to 55.13 dollars for one barrel was recorded on 2 March, amid worries related to the overproduction of fuels, the price went up to 56.13 dollars on 7 March, according to yandex.ru.
