Moldovan deputy foreign minister attends meeting of Visegrad Group and Eastern Partnership countries

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Daniela Morari participated on March 15 in a Meeting of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Visegrad Group and Eastern Partnership countries organized by the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Poland, held in Minsk.

During the meeting, were discussed the actions taken in the context of the Eastern Partnership on transport, connectivity and cross-border cooperation, cooperation in the field of education and as well on enhancement of cooperation among local and municipal authorities. In this context, Deputy Minister Daniela Morari presented the last achievements in these areas and priorities of Moldova to full use the opportunities of the Eastern Partnership by the Summit.

Representatives from Eastern Partnership countries and those from Visegrad group had an exchange of views on the multilateral track of the Eastern Partnership, as well as on various regional initiatives in the Central and Eastern Europe in view of the Polish Presidency at the Visegrad Group and the Belarus Presidency at the Central European Initiative in 2017.

Other important topic discussed during the meeting was the organisation of the next Eastern Partnership Summit, with a special focus on the possible joint deliverables by Eastern Partnership Summit, as well as by 2020.
