Moldovan parliament to hold plenary meeting on 17 March

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament will hold a plenary meeting on 17 March, under a today’s ruling by the parliament’s Standing Bureau, the legislative body’s communication and public relations department has reported. 

The Standing Bureau approved the agenda of the plenary meetings for the next two weeks.

At the meeting, MPs will approve amendments and completions to the state budget law for 2017, amendments to the Labour Code, as well as to the law on the road traffic safety. Also, the lawmakers will consider a simple motion on the domestic policy in the transports sector, carried out by the Transports and Roads Infrastructure Ministry, filed by a group of MPs of the Party of Socialists. 

The lawmakers are also to hear a report in the a contract on concession, which gives a company right to carry out geological researches, in order to discover deposits of oil and natural gas in southern Moldova. A report on the ecosystem of the Dniester river basin will also be unveiled at the plenary meeting due on 17 March.
