Moldovan deputy PM meets state secretary for strategic affairs of Romania

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan received on 16 March Dan Neculaescu, State Secretary for Strategic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, the office for reintegration policies’ press service has reported.  

On this occasion, the officials praised the positive dynamic of the Moldovan-Romanian relations, highlighting the cooperation prospects in domains of common interest and reforms implemented by the Government of Moldova aimed at strengthening the capacity of public authorities to help in solving problems and improving people's quality of life.

The Romanian diplomat was informed about the current situation in the Transnistrian settlement process, a few aspects of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue, options for resolving the existing problems, including farmers' access to agricultural land, provision of adequate activity for schools using Latin script in Transnistrian region, barriers preventing the free movement etc.

At his part, Dan Neculaescu reiterated the Romania's support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova, revealed active assistance, both by diplomatic efforts, and through logistical and financial helping for the European course of Moldova.

Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan expressed his gratitude for the constant support provided by the Government of Romania to Moldova, manifesting confidence that further cooperation would be as good as the existing one.
