Moldovan deputy PM visits north-eastern district

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan visited Criuleni today, where he met with local authorities and inhabitants of the district. The discussions were focused on the problems faced by the people and the ways to solve them.

According to the office for reintegration policies, in his speech, Gheorghe Balan, referred to the reforms implemented by the Government, the positive impact of them being aimed at improving the living conditions of people and public services provided throughout the territory of Moldova.

The deputy premier informed about the situation in the Transnistrian settlement process, stressing the importance of strengthening the positions of the state institutions on that subject.

In this context, Gheorghe Balan spoke about the establishment of joint control at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing point Cuciurgan-Pervomaisk, highlighting the advantages and benefits for residents and businesses on both sides of the Dniester.

Also, deputy prime minister called on local authorities to get involved actively in developing projects that could serve as a basis for attracting investment in localities of the security zone, infrastructure development, businesses and creating of new jobs.

At the end of the meeting, the official answered questions of the interlocutors, noting that he would intervene in solving problems.
