Moldovan entrepreneurs participate in Moldova-Poland business forum in Warsaw

Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ - A group made up of 16 entrepreneurs from the agro-food sector of the central Hincesti district pave participated in a business forum Poland-Moldova, held in Warsaw. The event took place within a study visit to Poland by entrepreneurs on 26-29 March, and was organized by the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) in cooperation with the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the financial support of the East Invest project.     

The CCI press service has said that the Moldovan entrepreneurs paid a working visit to the Ewa-Bis company – the biggest exporter of fruits from Poland. Representatives of this company showed interest in trade with Moldova, stressing that they were willing to import grapes, apples, cherries, quinces, etc. Also, the Moldovan delegation visited the factory of agricultural equipment from the    Białystok region. 

In the end of the visit, representatives of the business environment from the two countries exchanged commercial offers. The Moldovan entrepreneurs were surprised by Poles’ interest in the trade with Moldova and made a proposal to set up a joint association due to provide a sufficient quantity of products to be exported to Poland.   

East Invest is a project launched at an initiative by the European Union, which regards backing the development of a friendly economic environment and a competitive private sector, as well as the strengthening of the increase in flows of trade and investments between the EU member states and the six countries of the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine).
