Chisinau municipal councillor appointed member of Moldovan electoral body

Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ – Socialist councillor of the capital, Vadim Filipov, was confirmed by the Parliament today, as a member of the Central Election Commission (CEC).
The confirmation of Filipov in this office was held after the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) had checked his integrity.
Vadim Filipov is a lawyer, Master in Law at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.
The CEC’s membership became vacant after presidential adviser on legal and institutional relations, Maxim Lebedinschi, filed a resignation from the membership of CEC on the grounds of incompatibility of holding two positions.
