Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ - The companies of Gas Natural Fenosa in Moldova have extended the deadline for presenting offers for the new contracts on electric energy supply till 31 March. This is the third time when the deadline is extended, given the lack of sure offers, after it has been earlier prolonged till 27 March and then till 30 March.
The company extended the deadline for presenting offers at a request by Energocom and the Ukrainian firm DTEK Pavlogradugoli, for reasons that they need additional time “for concretizing possibilities of supplying electric energy according to the conditions put.” And the Economics Ministry today recommended that the companies Gas Natural Fenosa in Moldova extend the deadline for presenting offers.
This decision was taken at a today’s meeting of the committee on reception, opening and validating offers for the purchasing of electric energy for the period 1 April 2017 – 31 March 2018, with the participation of representatives of the supplying company Moldovan Power Plant of Kuchurgan, as well as of members of the group of observers of the process.
The old contract expires on 31 March. Just as in 2015, in 2016, Moldova imported energy from a single source – the Kuchurgan power plant.
