Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip made a public call to mobilize all forces to remove the consequences of bad weather in Chisinau today. The Prime Minister said that the difficult situation has not been completely overcome and there are not enough resources, forces in the capital to clean up the city, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

"The works begin tomorrow morning at 05.00 a.m., and we will mobilize as two days to make the city clean. If we do not succeed within this time, we will extend the period of activity. I should like to mention that this is not an intervention on the Mayor’s office, but an aid in the context in which the impact is of a large scale," said the Prime Minister.

The Chief Executive informed that more than 200 tree cleansing professionals, several hundred Carabineers and National Army soldiers, as well as about 100 special transport units would take part at it. So, four working teams will be formed for each city sector, organized on the basis of Chisinau police sectors and led by their heads. Each team will be provided with two motor saw professionals, two dumpers, special clothes, food and operate within its range so that each city area is brought to order.

At the same time, the prime minister urged Chisinau residents to refrain from car journeys, as cleaning works involve blocking some street sections and providing access to authorities where the cars are parked. "I appreciate your civic spirit and involvement these days, but please remember there are imminent threats – trees that are ready to fall and fallen lines that can cause considerable damage. That is why, I ask you to be patient and receptive to police requests," said Pavel Filip.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister called for increased attention on the supervision of children in dangerous areas by parents and heads of educational institutions. "Do not expose the children to danger and do not expose yourself to your personal danger," warned the Premier.
