Chisinau, 28 April /MOLDPRES/ - The strategic partnership between Moldova and the United States and priorities of cooperation in the long run have been discussed at a meeting between Prime Minister Pavel Filip and U.S. Ambassador to Moldova James Pettit, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

In the beginning of the meeting, the prime minister stressed the importance of the partnership with the USA and thanked the American diplomat for support, pragmatic and objective approach. “We are determined to move forward. We have a wide Agenda of reforms and we rely a lot on the openness and support of the USA, in order to carry it out,” Pavel Filip said.

In this context, the PM said that, in 2016, the government’s actions had been focused on the management of a crisis, and in 2017, considerable efforts would be made to implement the priority reforms, including in order to enhance the popularity of the European Union among the citizens. “The most important is the public administration reform, which started simultaneously with the reform of the State Chancellery. We have recently approved the creation of the Public Services Agency,” the PM added.
