1. Events in Moldova

Saturday, 6 May

Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim attend the opening of a forum of business people from the two countries, at the Radisson Blu hotel at 9:00.

The PMs of Moldova and Turkey visit the Institute of Mother and Child, where a new rehabilitation section is to be opened, at 9:40.

Pavel Filip and Binali Yildirim have a meeting with Bashkan (governor) of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (UTA Gagauzia), at the headquarters of the UTA Gagauzia’s executive committee in Comrat at 11:45.

The prime ministers of Moldova and Turkey attend the fourth Congress of the Gagauz from all over the world, at the Comrat-based culture house at 12:30.

Sunday, 7 May

The Embassy of Romania in Moldova and the Moldovan Culture Ministry organize a festive concert dedicated to the Europe Day. The event is held within the International Tournament of the Laureates of the National Contest of Composition and Interpretation Mihail Jora, at the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic at 18:00.

 

Monday, 8 May

The Centre for Independent Journalism, in partnership with the Youth Friendly  Health Centre Neovita, invite to a meeting of the press club on the online security of young people and how we can defeat the suicide, at Orange Café at 16:00.     

 

Tuesday, 9 May

The Sporter sports organization invites to a cycling race to the memorial venue Capul de pod Șerpeni (Serpeni Bridgehead), dedicated to the Victory Day. Experienced cyclists are invited to the event to cover a distance of 135 km by bicycle on the route Chisinau-Serpeni-Chisinau, outside the Chisinau-based Circus at 10:00.     

 

2. Guests and delegations in Moldova

Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim pays a 5-6 May official visit to Moldova.

 

3. Moldovan missions abroad

Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur pays an 8-11 May working visit to the United States, to participate in a meeting of the nucleus group of the Munich Security Conference.

Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Octavian Calmic participates in the 26th annual meeting of the board of governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and a forum of business people from the economic, political and diplomatic sectors, due in the capital of Cyprus, Nicosia, on 9-11 May.
