Moldovan, Slovenian officials approach cooperation, reforms

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari had a meeting with Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy Josef Horvat and Head of the Committee on European Affairs Kamal Izidor Shaker, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.

The sides exchanged opinions about the topical issues on the agenda of the Moldovan-Slovenian political dialogue, cooperation on the interparliamentary dimension, as well as possibilities for developing collaboration at the level of friendship groups and specialized committees.

The Moldovan official presented the progress recorded in the European integration, as well as Moldova’s priorities to turn to good account the potential of the Eastern Partnership in the period before the autumn summit.  Also, the sides tackled issues related to the implementation of reforms under the Association Agreement with the EU, Transnistrian conflict settlement, prospects for boosting the bilateral relations in areas of common interest.

On the same day, Morari met State Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration of Slovenia Tanja Bogataj. The two officials discussed the priorities of public administration in the two countries, expressing interest in exchanging experience and expertise to adjust to the standards and good practices of the EU. The meeting was also focused on the e-government and digitization.
