Moldovan government approves action plan on developing domestic trade

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/ – The Government approved at its meeting the Action Plan 2017-2018 for the second stage of implementation of the Strategy for the development of the interior trade for 2014-2020 today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The document was developed to systematize actions that have already been carried out in 2014-2016 and develop new directions for the extend of trade in products and services.

Also, it is envisaged the improvement of the legal framework related to the trade activity, including elaboration of the sanitary regulations regarding the provision of certain types of services, update the norms on noise and vibration emission, prevention and extinguishing fires, environment and labour protection.

The new Plan also includes actions to develop commercial infrastructure, including in rural areas, modernize the patterns of goods and services distribution, increase the domestic competitiveness of the local products, and increase the professional level of trade-related personnel.

A particular attention will be paid to strengthening the authorities’ institutional capacities, intensifying their cooperation with local public authorities and maintaining an active dialogue with business community.
