Moldovan parliament to host EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly meetings

Chisinau, 22 May /MOLDPRES/ – The Parliament of Moldova will host, for the first time, the Joint Meeting of the Commission for Economic Integration, Legal Approximation and Convergence with EU Policies of the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly and the Committee on Energy Security. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 23 May, at 09.00, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The Committee on Economic Integration, Legal Approximation and Convergence with EU Policies will discuss topic: Exceeding the impact of the economic crisis on youth unemployment in EU and Eastern Partnership countries.
The main subject debated by the Committee on Energy Security will be "Strengthening Eastern Partnership Energy Cooperation to Implement the Paris Climate Change Agreement of 2015".
On the same day, Parliament will host the EURONEST AP Bureau meeting. Officials will address a range of topics related to the work of AP EURONEST. The meeting will be led by Rebecca Harms, EP EURONEST Co-Chair on behalf of the European Parliament and Marian Lupu, Co-President of AP EURONEST on behalf of the Eastern Partners. Rebecca Harms and Marian Lupu will hold a press briefing at the end of the meeting.
The delegations from the European Parliament, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine will participate in the debates in the two meetings.
