Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Education Minister Elena Cernei today withdrew her application on resignation. The government’s press service has confirmed the information for MOLDPRES.

Deputy Education Minister Elena Cernei submitted an application on resignation on 29 May, along with Education Minister Corina Fusu and Deputy Education Minister Cristina Boaghe.

Also on 29 May, Environment Minister Valeriu Munteanu and Deputy Ministers Igor Talmazan and Victor Morgoci, as well as the directors of agencies delegated by the Liberal Party (PL) submitted applications on resignation.

PL ruled to withdraw its ministers from the government and leave the ruling coalition at the party’s Republican Council on 26 May. The Liberals were discontented by the fact that Chisinau mayor Dorin Chirtoaca and Transport and Roads Infrastructure Minister Iurie Chirinciuc were detained by the National Anticorruption Centre.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip today informed that, on 31 May, the deputy ministers would be appointed at the institutions which remained without leadership, after the ministers delegated by the Liberal Party had submitted applications on resignation.
