Moldovan PM to participate in meeting of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe

Chisinau, 25 June /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip on 25-27 June will pay an official visit to Strasbourg, France, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

During the visit, the prime minister will give a speech in the plenum of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and will meet more European officials. Pavel Filip will have discussions with PACE President Pedro Agramunt , President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities Gudrun Mosler-Törnström, President of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) Guido Raimondi, as well as with PACE Co-rapporteurs Valentina Leskaj and Egidijus Vareikis.

At the same time, Prime Minister Pavel Filip will have a meeting with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland. Subsequently, the two officials will give a news conference.

Also, the PM will attend the inauguration of an exhibition of Moldova’s national traditional costumes, due to be staged at the headquarters of the CoE Committee of Ministers.
