"The collaboration with the Energy Community Secretariat gives us tangible results for the regulated sector. The legislation of Moldova needs to be adjusted to the European Union’s one, so the purpose of this document is collaboration of field experts to improve the secondary legislation," said Tudor Copaci

At his part, Janez Kopac mentioned that he appreciated the cooperation between the Energy Community Secretariat and ANRE. "The next year will be very important for Moldova, because the new energy law will fully transpose the 3rd Energy Package and ANRE is the main institution for the implementation of the secondary regulatory framework. The Memorandum of Understanding signed today will lay the foundations for a new form of cooperation between the two institutions," said the Director of the Energy Community Secretariat.

Within two weeks, ANRE will submit a list of regulatory acts to which it will request the Secretariat’s assistance. One important point in the Memorandum is that the Secretariat agrees to provide technical and legal assistance to the working groups, including through expert missions.
