List of compensated medicines expanded in Moldova

Chisinau, 07 July /MOLDPRES/ – The persons diagnosed with depression and Alzheimer's will receive the first offset when purchasing medicines after the Ministry of Health expanded the list of compensated medicines.
According to the nominated ministry, that list has been supplemented with 12 common international names. Out of these, five medicines were replaced by five other existing ones, and seven were added.
As a result of the changes to the list of compensated medicines, the cost of the one indicated to oncological patients to alleviate pain will be also covered.
Out of these 12 new international names of medicines, three will be released to patients free of charge. These are medicines used in cystic fibrosis therapy, bull epidermolysis and acute respiratory infections at children.
Seven medicines indicated for the treatment of neurological, gastrological and pain control at cancer patients were compensated for 70 per cent.
Also, two medicines recommended for the treatment of depression and Alzheimer's disease were compensated in a proportion of 30 per cent.
According to the quoted source, more than 522 million lei were allocated for compensated treatments in 2017.
