Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip started a today’s cabinet meeting with specifications on the reform of hospitals, which aroused controversial discussions in the society, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

“Nobody is going to close any hospital now. I make an appeal to everybody to be calm,” Pavel Filip said. He demanded that the competent ministry more efficiently communicates about this reform, in order to dispel all speculations on the closing of hospitals.

At the same time, the prime minister reiterated the importance to carry out the three reforms in the public health sector, primary medicine and hospital system, which are to ensure the improvement of the medical services.

“Each reform is aimed at providing quality services. We have a lot of “friends” who try to interpret the government’s work. The reforms are not in the liking of the chiefs who lead some units and are going to lose their positions, but at the same time, these reforms will be in the liking of the citizens,” Pavel Filip added.
