Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, drew attention to the assessment of the tests in the school-leaving examination in physics from the 2017 session, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The prime minister said that one of the issues included in the physics test was supposed to have been formulated wrongly, as it is unsolvable. This triggered diminution of marks, including to pupils who participated and won medals at Olympiads in this discipline. At the same time, the answers of some pupils coincided with the ones of the authors’ qualification norm for giving marks, which points to frauds.

“We are to see how these tests were prepared by competent persons, after which the guilty people should be called to account, as the problem is quite serious. It is inadmissible that decision-makers create problems which harm the lives of children who learned and must take the school-leaving examinations,” the PM stressed.

In the context, Pavel Filip demanded that the Education Ministry creates a special commission due to consider the concerned situation and depending on the results of the investigation, competent bodies should be notified to inquire possible illegal frauds.
