Moldovan foreign affairs minister visits exhibition dedicated to Holocaust victims

Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today visited an exhibition titled Viitorul memoriei (The Future of Memory) – dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.  

The foreign affairs minister watched more photos, video materials and publications and familiarized with their significance and that sad period. At the same time, within the exhibition, the Moldovan diplomacy head had a discussion with the manager and initiator of the concerned project, Olga Stefan, deputy director of the National Ethnography and Natural History Museum Teodor Candu and Vladimir Us,  coordinator of the Oberliht Association of Young Artists, which hosted the exhibition in Chisinau.     

On this occasion, the Moldovan official informed about the intense cooperation Moldova has, in its capacity of observer, with the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance and the projects carried out with the support of the Alliance in Moldova. The minister also referred to a recent approval by the government of an action plan for 2017-2019 on the implementation of a Moldovan parliament’s Declaration on the acceptance of the final report of the International Commission on the Holocaust, chaired by Elie Wiesel.
