Moldovan government encourages Diaspora children to learn their parents' home country language

Chisinau, 08 August /MOLDPRES/ – The Government of Moldova dispatched through the Diaspora Bureau 500 copies of Albinuta, by Grigore Vieru, to children born abroad, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The books for pre-school children are distributed through diplomatic missions, which perfect the citizenship documents of Moldova. In this way, Moldovan authorities encourage the Diaspora children to learn the language of their parents' home country and thus develop emotional ties with Moldova.
In this respect, Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, sent a message for pre-school children on the bookmark: "Dear children, study the book and you will have a better life, persevere on the path of knowledge, so that the Republic of Moldova, the country of your parents and yours, be proud of you!"
The books were shipped to 30 countries, with the largest number being delivered to Russia, Italy, Ukraine, Canada, France, Portugal, Romania, Spain, USA and Kazakhstan.
