Moldovan deputy premier meets EU Border Assistance Mission head

Chisinau, 8 August /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan today received the head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) Tesoriere Andrew, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The discussion was focused on up-to-date subjects regarding the integrated management of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border, from the perspective of extending the joint control at all border checkpoints placed on the central (Transnistrian) segment of the frontier, aspects concerning the free movement, implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) component of the Moldova – European Union Association Agreement and facilitating the work of the economic agents from the Transnistrian region.
The officials also referred to the developments in the Transnistrian settlement process, results of the cooperation between EUBAM and the Moldovan authorities, as well as initiatives for the next period.
