Moldovan official journal roundup for 18 August

Chisinau, 17 August /MOLDPRES/- The law on creation of a state register of addresses will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 18 August.

Under the law, an electronic database will be set in Moldova for the centralized registration and identification of the administrative-territorial units, settlements, streets and addresses of the objectives in the country. According to the document, the database will include buildings, isolated rooms, parks, public squares, rest areas, sports grounds, car parking and other authorized sites, in which an activity can be carried out.

Addresses will comprise elements such as: status and location name, name of the traffic artery, distance of location of object on a particular road, building number, main entrance staircase.

The document also sets a number of special technical requirements to street signs, which will include details of the names of arteries and public transport areas. Inscriptions on street signs will be made only in the state language.
