Moldovan foreign minister meets counterpart of Luxembourg

Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today met Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn, on a working visit to Chisinau, the MAEIE’s communication and media relations service has reported.
The two officials approached the full spectrum of the bilateral agenda between Moldova and Luxembourg, which marks this year the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations. In the context, they reconfirmed the mutual commitment to promote political dialogue, boost economic exchanges, deepen cooperation within international organizations and strengthen bilateral legal framework. The Moldovan diplomat thanked Luxembourg for the political support given to our country in the European institutions and other international organizations, as well as for the financial and humanitarian assistance in the implementation of various projects.
At the same time, the officials exchanged opinions on implementation by Moldova of the provisions of the Association Agreement, prospects for advancement of cooperation at various sectoral levels and cooperation in the Eastern Partnership. Jean Asselborn reconfirmed his country’s willingness to fully support the reform process in Moldova. Special attention was paid to the talks on the Transnistrian issue.
