Individual Partnership Action Plan Moldova - NATO to be published in Official Journal

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/- The Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) Moldova – NATO for 2017-2019 will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 15 September.

The document outlines the priority areas and common cooperation goals.

Thus, over the next three years, a lot of actions will be taken to reform and modernize the security sector, develop the Armed Forces, combat new threats to security and promote public diplomacy. Also, IPAP includes objectives on Strengthening Defense Capabilities and Interoperability Platform.

The document also sees the opening of NATO Liaison Office in Moldova, which will provide our country with new opportunities to develop practical cooperation in the implementation of joint reforms and projects.

IPAP also defines a number of goals of Moldova-North Atlantic Alliance relationship, including: organizing political consultations on security and defense issues, enhancing interoperability through continued participation in the peacekeeping operation in Kosovo, plenary use of opportunities offered by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme, implementation of assistance projects through NATO Special Effort Funds, increased emergency preparedness and crisis management.
