Moldovan PM meets head of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today met President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Rıfat Hisarciklioğlu, accompanied by Turkish Ambassador to Moldova Hulusi Kiliç, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.    

The officials highlighted that the high-level meetings of the recent period had substantially contributed to the creation of optimum conditions for the extension and deepening of the bilateral cooperation in diverse sectors. Also, the sides exchanged opinions on the Moldovan-Turkish collaboration, in particular, in terms of boosting the commercial and economic relations and attracting Turkish investments in Moldova.   

In the context, the prime minister said the government’s goal was to make social investments, as a result of the national economy’s development: “For the state to have financial capacity to make social investments, it must have a good economic capacity, and for this, it should create attractive conditions for investors.”  

The PM also referred to actions undertaken by the cabinet to develop the business environment and namely: amending the law on state control, cutting the number of institutions with control duties, reducing the number of permissive acts, simplifying the fiscal reporting and procedure of getting work and stay permits for foreigners. “The government must think about the comfort of the citizens, business environment. The state should create needed conditions, fulfill the regulatory duty, so that business people could contribute to the growth of the economy,” Pavel Filip said.     

For his part, Rıfat Hisarciklioğlu spoke out for turning to good account the opportunities offered by the Free Trade Agreement between Moldova and Turkey, as well as by the agreement on the mutual promotion and protection of investments between the two states. He noted that Turkey would continue making investments and was willing to share its experience as to the modernization of customs offices and services, in order to facilitate the commerce.
