Chisinau, 10 October /MOLDPRES/- Teodor Carnat resigned from the post of member of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM). He made the statement at a today’s meeting of CSM.
Carnat motivated his decision that failed polygraph test in the contest for the position of head of the National Integrity Authority (ANI). At the same time, he came up with several accusations against the organizers.
“The decision to resign is an independent one. I have honestly answered all the questions in the polygraph test, even if they were tendentious, and the results were interpretable. I repeatedly declare that my fortune I accumulated before operating in the CSM through hard work. I do not want my name to stain the CSM, so I ask parliament to approve the resignation”, he said.
The last candidates remaining in the competition for the position of ANI head, Teodor Carnat and Victor Stratila, failed the polygraph test. The statement was made yesterday at the meeting of ANI Integrity College. The polygraph test was the final stage of the contest, and was not passed by them.
Teodor Carnat has been a member of CSM since 2013.
