Moldovan Action and Solidarity Party willing to participate in parliamentary elections together with Dignity and Truth Platform Party

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/- The National Political Council of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) has confirmed the party’s willingness to participate in next parliamentary elections together with the Dignity and Truth Platform Party (PPDA). PAS leadership made the statement today.

According to a communiqué placed on the official website of the party, “the concrete mechanism of forming the list is to be set closer to the poll”.

“We proposed to form a joint committee to select candidates with the participation of civil society representatives, to ensure that the list includes the most suitable candidates”, the communiqué reads.

PPDA Secretary General Chiril Motpan said that PAS decision is a response to the PPDA previously submitted offer.

“It is a fair and expected decision. We have previously called for a common agreement on a parity basis, which would allow us to consolidate the pro-European political forces in Moldova before the elections”, Motpan said.

He added that this topic is going to be discussed in Brussels today, where the PPDA and PAS leaders went.
