Turkish embassy in Chisinau conveys condolences on plane crash near Côte D’Ivoire

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/- The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the Republic of Moldova learned with deep sorrow and great distress about the deadly plane crash in the Atlantic Ocean near the Côte D’Ivoire on October 14th 2017, which claimed the lives of 4 Moldovan citizens.

In this connection, the Turkish Embassy would like to express condolences and solidarity to the Moldovan Government and to Moldovan people, hoping that compassion feelings would ease the burden of the families of those who died following this tragic accident.

Four citizens of Moldova died two days ago, and two others were injured after the cargo aircraft crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near Abidjan airport, Cote d’Ivoire. Crash occurred after a failed attempt to land, caused by bad weather conditions.

The aircraft flew for the French Army and had ten people on board, including six citizens of Moldova and four French citizens. It belonged to Valan International Air Cargo and transported cargo under a contract with the French Army.
