Moldovan official journal roundup for 20 October

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/- The decision on forming a working group to amend the Constitution will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 20 October. Thus, the Constitution could be supplemented by a new article that would set the state’s orientation “to the European democratic value space”.

The group will include MPs of the Democratic Party of Moldova and European People’s parliamentary group, specialists of parliament secretariat, State Chancellery, constitutional experts and foreign policy. The factions of PSRM, PLDM, PL and PCRM have refused to delegate MPs to this group.

Under the parliament’s decision, the members of the group within 45 days will propose amendments to the Constitution, after which the draft law will be sent to the Constitutional Court for approval.
