Imports from China to Moldova decrease by 1.2 per cent in 2019

Chisinau, 13 February /MOLDPRES/ - The imports from China decreased by 1.2 per cent in 2019.  

Data unveiled by the National Statistics Bureau (BNS) in last mid-January shows that, during January-November 2019, the imports from China dropped by 1.2 per cent.

According to the director general of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), Vladislav Cotici, the imports of food products from China is made from third countries. “It is about fish and fish products, garlic and pomelo, which are brought to Moldova from third countries,” Cotici said.   

BNS data shows that China is among the first three states of origin of goods imported to Moldova, after Romania and Russia.

The overall value of the goods imported to Moldova in January-November 2019 stood at 5.3 billion dollars.
