Digital public services generate savings of over 853 million lei in Moldova in 2025
The use of digital public services generated estimated savings of over 853 million lei in 2025, due to the reduced time needed for citizens and businesses to access services.
According to the Electronic Governance Agency (AGE), the value of the savings was calculated based on the average cost of one hour of work, estimated at approximately 91.5 lei, derived from the average monthly salary in the economy in 2025, of 15,472 lei.
Of the total estimated savings, about 230.8 million lei went to citizens, and 622.6 million lei - to the business sector.
AGE notes that online access to public services eliminates the need to travel to service counters and reduces waiting time. On average, a digital interaction saves about an hour and a half, compared to accessing the same service in physical form.
In total, the use of digital public services led to savings of over 9.3 million hours in 2025. Approximately 2.5 million hours of them were saved by citizens, and 6.8 million hours - by companies.
According to the Electronic Governance Agency, these results reflect the impact of digitalization on the efficiency of public services, by reducing the time and costs borne by users.
Digital public services can be accessed via the EVO application and through the dedicated portal, which provides online access to services provided by public institutions.
