DOC // List of Moldovan standards harmonized with European rail system interoperability norms published in Official Journal
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR) has approved the list of Moldovan standards that adopt the harmonized European standards regarding rail system interoperability. This measure is established by an order signed by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, published today in the Official Journal.
According to the order, the List of Moldovan Standards that adopt the necessary harmonized European standards for the development of a compatible, modern, and safe rail system has been approved. The implementation of these standards will facilitate the connection of the national rail infrastructure to the European network and will ensure compliance with the technical, quality, and safety requirements stipulated by EU legislation.
“The order transposes into national legislation the Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2584 of the European Commission, regarding the harmonized standards for rail systems interoperability, developed in support of Directive (EU) 2016/797. The document also includes the latest amendments introduced by Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/424 of March 4, 2025,” explains MIDR.
Oversight of the order's execution has been assigned to the state secretary responsible for the transport sector. The document will come into force on December 25, 2025.
