Energocom company of Moldova purchases electricity at average price of 134 Euro/MWh in last November
The Energocom company in last November acquired approximately 397.552 thousand MWh of electricity, at a weighted average price of 134.7 euros/MWh.
For comparison, in October 2025, about 387.300 thousand MWh of electricity were purchased at a weighted average price of 132.44 euros/MWh.
In November 2025, the electricity demand was met both from domestic sources and imports.
Thus, imports accounted for 67.97 per cent of the total volume, while the energy supplied by domestic producers represented 32.03 per cent.
According to Energocom, 25.88 per cent of total acquisitions were made under bilateral contracts with suppliers and producers from Romania and Ukraine, while the remaining 42.09 per cent - through trading platforms BRM (Romanian Commodity Exchange) and OPCOM.
Purchase costs do not include taxes and expenses related to transportation, logistics and capacity reservation.
Starting from January 1, 2025, the right bank of the Dniester has no longer been receiving electricity from the Kuchurgan Power Plant, after the Russian concern Gazprom stopped the delivery of natural gas to Moldova. Under these conditions, consumption is covered from domestic sources and imports.
