Fuels cheapen in Moldova; Energy regulatory agency announces new prices
The petrol and diesel prices are dropping. Drivers will pay by up 0.09 lei less for petrol and diesel.
Thus, for December 10, the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) announced a maximum price of 23.17 lei per liter of petrol, down by 0.03 lei.
At the same time, diesel will be cheaper by 0.09 lei and will cost 19.74 lei on December 10.
At the end of the last week, ANRE informed that these reductions were based on the decrease in Platts international quotations, which have fallen by over 100 dollars/ton for diesel and 30 dollars/ton for petrol.
At the same time, on the international stage, there have been relevant developments for the global oil market. On December 4, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of Treasury authorized the possibility of transactions with Lukoil stations outside the Russian Federation until April 29, 2026, through a temporary waiver of sanctions imposed in October 2025. The decision affects approximately 2,000 stations in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and America, including Moldova, Bulgaria, Turkey and Romania.
