Moldovan finance minister pays official visit to Brussels

Finance Minister Andrian Gavrilita, together with a Finance Ministry’s delegation, paid an official visit to Brussels today, where they held meetings with representatives of the directorates-general of the European Commission.

During the discussions, Minister Gavrilita addressed the developments and next steps in the process of Moldova’s European integration, the progress made in implementing the Economic Growth Plan, as well as the ambitious goals regarding the modernization of the public financial system and the creation of the simplest and most business- and citizen-friendly tax system of the country.

“This visit represents the firm commitment of the Finance Ministry to advance the reforms necessary for Moldova’s European integration. It is essential to build a transparent, efficient tax system that is tailored to the needs of our business environment and our citizens,” emphasized Minister Gavrilita.

European officials reconfirmed their support for Moldova, highlighting the importance of continuous cooperation in the field of economic and financial reforms, in order to accelerate European integration and ensure the country’s sustainable development.
