National Wine Day 2025 to be held on October 4-5
National Wine Day 2025 will take place on October 4-5 in the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau. The event is organized by the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV), with support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, Ministry of Culture, the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF), as well as main partners maib and Mastercard.
This edition marks 24 years since the establishment of the national holiday dedicated to wine. The event brings together over 100 winemakers from across the country, offering visitors the opportunity to taste collection wines, limited editions, and renowned varieties. Participants will learn about the winemaking process and discover the secrets of each wine directly from the producers.
In addition to wine tastings, the event will feature educational sessions such as the "Wine School" and masterclasses led by certified sommeliers, providing tips on tasting, food pairing, and serving techniques. Special sessions for young people and children will also be organized to encourage education and appreciation of wine from an early age.
For a complete experience, visitors can purchase the "Taster's Book," which includes 11 wine tastings and a favorite wine, valid during the two days of the celebration. The book also offers a 20% discount on Wine of Moldova promotional items and a 100% recyclable tritan glass.
The event will be accompanied by folk performances, traditional dances, craft demonstrations, and culinary delicacies specific to the region, all harmoniously combined in a celebration of Moldova's cultural heritage. For those who wish to explore further, wineries across the country will open their doors for visits and tastings.
