Ways to improve cooperation between the parliament, government and civil society to ensure transparency, public participation and effective communication at all stages of European integration were discussed at the Conference titled, Parliament of Moldova – Full Commitment to European Integration, held in Chisinau today. The event offered a dialogue platform between all institutions involved in the EU accession process.

Present at the event, Deputy Secretary-General of the Government Alexandru Iacub emphasized the importance of close collaboration between all actors involved in the European integration process and the necessity of transparency in all actions. At the same time, he noted that the level of coordination between the State Chancellery and parliament was continuously improving.

‘’A solution that we will strengthen is the activity of the government Representative in parliament, who can participate in the meetings of the parliament's Standing Bureau, where certain urgencies or technical ambiguities can be addressed, ensuring direct and quite efficient communication,’’ said Alexandru Iacub.

Additionally, the deputy secretary-general highlighted the need to accelerate the adaptation of the legislative framework to EU standards and assured that all drafts related to the reform and European integration agenda were prioritized: ‘’The State Chancellery team strengthens all processes – from the smallest to the most complex – and organizes them step by step: the legislative process, communication with local public authorities. We must ensure that everything we implement is in synergy with local public administration.’’

The discussions also focused on the conclusions of the European Commission's Enlargement Report from November 4, 2025, which ‘’confirms the substantial progress made by Moldova in the past 12 months and highlights the need to accelerate legislative alignment with European standards.’’

The conference was organized by the Moldovan parliament’s European Integration Commission and the European Integration Office of the State Chancellery.
