Foreign affairs ministers of Moldova, georgia, Ukraine to pay joint working visit to Brussels

Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, Foreign Affairs Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, along with Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani for the first time ever will pay a joint working visit to Brussels, in the Association Trio format, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.      

The officials of the three countries will have a common meeting with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell Fontelles, followed by press statements. Also, on the sidelines of the visit, the three foreign affairs ministers will have meetings with Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi and the European Parliament members in charge of the cooperation with the three countries. 

The officials’ agenda will be focused on prospects for the preparation of the Eastern Partnership Summit, scheduled for late 2021, and deepening the cooperation with EU as to the implementation of the Association Agreement.

At the same time, on 24 June, the foreign affairs ministers will participate in a public roundtable organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
