Moldovan government launches national campaign, Library under Christmas Tree, 2025 edition
The government is launching the Library under the Christmas Tree campaign, now in its fourth edition. Throughout December, books will be collected under the Christmas tree in the government building, to be donated to school libraries in the localities of Moldova.
The government invites everyone interested to join the campaign as of December 1 till 24, 2025. Books can be brought daily, Monday to Friday, between 12:00 and 17:00 at the Government building, entrance on Metropolitan Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni Street.
In the previous edition of the Library under the Christmas Tree campaign, hundreds of citizens, employees of public authorities and educational institutions joined the initiative, collecting 9,000 books for children of all ages. The volumes were distributed in child placement centers and hospitals across the country that have spaces arranged for young readers.
At the same time, starting from December 1, 2025, till January 7, 2026, the government building is hosting an exhibition of illustrations titled, My Christmas at Home, launched by the Bureau for European Integration, featuring 58 works created by children and artists from various regions of Moldova.
