Government to renovate another 380 courtyards of apartment buildings in Chișinău as part of European Courtyard Program
Government will fund all selected projects under European Courtyard Program. A decision to supplement the single program document for 2025-2027 with an additional 380 courtyard development projects for apartment buildings in Chișinău has been approved by the government. The total value of the projects included today exceeds 1.7 billion lei, allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.
Thus, through the European Courtyard Program, a total of 469 projects will be implemented, with 89 projects already included in the single program document. Currently, 57 courtyard development projects in the capital are being implemented, and 32 projects are yet to commence.
Each selected courtyard benefits from up to 5 million lei for repairs to access roads and stairways, modern street lighting, parking, playgrounds, urban furniture and access ramps.
'We are visiting these days the 39 courtyards where no major repairs have been made for decades, and now we are finally starting them. We are changing people's lives, and every government investment signifies our responsible attitude towards communities and raising living standards,' Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Vladimir Bolea said.
Additionally, the Single Program Document has been supplemented with four local development projects: the extension of the aqueduct and construction of the sewage system in the village of Găuzeni, Șoldănești district; the rehabilitation and modernization of the aqueduct in the village of Coșernița, Criuleni district; support for the Emergency Intervention Volunteer Network in the village of Sireți, Strășeni district; and the construction of a new artesian well in the commune of Dobrușca, Șoldănești district.
