Prime Minister in discussions with Ungheni residents on region's development directions
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu spoke with citizens of Ungheni district about the projects carried out in recent years, current needs and development perspectives of the region.
One of the large-scale projects is the construction of Ungheni Tech Park, which will support economic development and create new jobs for citizens, as part of a partnership between the government and local public authorities.
"Ungheni is one of the most dynamic cities in the country, which has changed a lot in recent years, thanks to European funds and the good collaboration between central and local public authorities", said the Prime Minister.
In Ungheni district, 41 projects have been implemented through the European Village and European Village Express programs. Another 26 projects, worth 119 million lei, are currently being implemented through European Village 2.
The Prime Minister discussed with the citizens the need for additional investments in healthcare. So far, 45 million lei have been allocated for the modernization projects of medical services in Ungheni district. Another 17.3 million lei have been invested, through the European Village program, in education service modernization projects, such as the repair of schools and kindergartens.
"These projects must continue. Today, Moldova is on the right path of development, and we must continue on this path together, to bring Europe into our homes," added Alexandru Munteanu.
Meanwhile, the residents highlighted the need to develop road infrastructure, build a new wastewater treatment plant and improve the quality of public services.
