Moldovan PM visits textile factory in Ungheni district
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu has visited the textile company, Costa Smeralda, Limited Liability Company (LLC), opened in Ungheni with Italian investments.
The PM discussed with the Italian entrepreneur Dario Fasson the activity and development plans of the company. The factory, launched in 2022, currently has about 200 employees and produces high-quality men's trousers for a German brand. Up to 65,000 pairs of trousers are manufactured here monthly.
Dario Fasson intends to increase production capacities by expanding the factory, identifying new partners and diversifying the range of textile products. The prime minister said that the government would advance in the areas of digitization and deregulation, in order to stimulate investments and innovations.
The entrepreneur also manages a similar business in Falesti, providing another 200 jobs.
“The government's goal is to make our country a safe, attractive and competitive destination for investments. And such examples show that we are on the right track,” noted Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu.
At the end of the discussions, the entrepreneur said that he was glad to contribute directly to the development of the local community and emphasized that the proximity of Moldova to the European Union gave him confidence and new perspectives for his business development.
