Moldovan PM urges to cherish inherited cultural heritage, protect it for future generations
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu visited, during his business trip to the central Calarasi district, the store of musical instruments, House of Music. The business belongs to Alexandru Leahu, who, out of passion for music, opened a specialized store in 2012, in order to contribute to supporting national culture and artistic education.
Presently, the House of Music is a network of three stores: in Calarasi, Chisinau and Balti. Its products and services are provided to the most important music-related institutions of Moldova, including the National Opera and Ballet Theater Maria Biesu and the Center of Excellence in Artistic Education Stefan Neaga.
PM Alexandru Munteanu thanked the entrepreneur for his contribution to promoting culture. At the same time, the prime minister highlighted that the inclusion of the cobza, this week, in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity was "a valuable recognition, which encourages us to preserve and pass on our traditional craftsmanship and music."
"I urge you to cherish the inherited cultural heritage and protect it for future generations", Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu stressed.
