Moldovan electoral body to propose that Constitutional Court validate parliamentary mandate from PAS list

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) will propose that Constitutional Court validate the parliamentary mandate of the substitute candidate Victor Mătrăgună from the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) list.

During today’s meeting, the Commission took note of the vacancy of a parliamentary mandate attributed to PAS.

“The vacancy of the mandate occurred following the resignation request submitted by Victoria Belous, elected on the PAS list,” the CEC announced.

Victoria Belous gave up her parliamentary mandate after returning to the position of Minister of Finance in the Government led by Vasile Tofan.

Victor Mătrăgună is number 73 on the PAS electoral list for the parliamentary elections of 28 September 2025. He is 41 years old, a lawyer by profession, and holds the position of head of the Orhei Territorial Office of the State Chancellery.
